Course Overview
First launched in May 2002, ICEP Europe’s dyslexia course was announced as part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Task Force Report on Dyslexia, and a key measure in enhancing the education of pupils with literacy difficulties. The Minister of the day highlighted the value of providing accessible online education to teachers in terms of meeting the need for increasing and flexible specialist training in dyslexia. A comprehensive course of more than 20 hours duration, it offers a framework for understanding the nature of dyslexia and provides the practical skills and strategies essential for detecting and responding to the needs of students with learning difficulties arising from dyslexia. A whole school approach to dyslexia and learning support is recommended and outlined, with an emphasis on effective collaboration.
We are delighted to annouce that the course content has now been fully revised and updated by Dr Gavin Reid.
